Hi ladies,
I hope you all had a blessed week. I'm so excited to see you all this Friday for our next meeting. We will be in session 4 of our 5-week series on Present Over Perfect. This week's topic is titled Unflashy, Unspectacular, Good and invites us to have the courage to take our observations, assessments and questions as they relate to our endeavors and obligations before God. Shana writes that it takes great courage to analyze our everyday decisions, but it's nothing compared with the courage it takes to bring those assessments before God. He who knows the answer about what to shed and what to keep in our lives before we even ask it.
Shana starts this week's session with a quote from the book of Psalm, which I thought would be good to ponder this week before we head into our meeting.

Operation Christmas Child
We will be putting together our boxes for Operation Christmas Child this coming Friday at our next meeting, so please remember to bring those items you signed up for with you. If you're unsure about what to bring or were not at the last couple meetings, please be sure to reach out to your table leader for more information about the box your table is putting together. If you are also choosing to participate in Operation Christmas Child on your own, please remember that all boxes are due back to the church by Sunday, November 19th.
Mom's Night Out
Get ready for our next Mom's Night Out event happening tomorrow on November 14th! We are going to Blossom Hill Nail Spa for a well-deserved night of pampering starting at 6:30pm. Please make sure to respond to the Evite that was sent out as soon as possible, so you can reserve your spot and we can get a final head count for the nail salon. If you did not receive an Evite for this event, please let us know.
New Christmas Movie
If you haven't seen from the MOPS newsletter, there's a new movie coming out this Friday called The Star from the studio that produced Miracles From Heaven and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. It's the story of the birth of Jesus from the perspective of the animals. It looks pretty cute and something I'll be taking my kids to see. If anyone's interested, we could possibly get a group to go together.
