Hi ladies,
For those of you with kids off last week, I hope it was a safe and fun week for all of you! For us, it went by so fast and I didn't even think I had that much planned. Wow, time flies. We are looking forward to seeing you all at this week's meeting, Friday March 2nd. We will be reviewing the notes from last meeting when author Zohary Ross joined us to discuss the next chapter in Aligned Parenting on design.
Food Rotation
Table 3 “Saved“ and Table 4 “Restored“ will be blessing us with food this week. Thank you so much ladies. Your mentor moms or table leaders should be reaching out to you to coordinate.
MOPS.Org
Last reminder, to please remember to post your photo in your MOPS.org profile. Everyone who registered with MOPS International has a profile online. And it would be great if everyone can add their picture, so it will be easier to find contacts within our group. Just go to mops.org, and click on Login at the top right hand corner. You will be asked for your login credentials. Once you sign in, you will be taken to your profile information. Please make sure it is filled out and correct, then add your photo if you haven't done so already. Thank you!
Silent Auction
On April 20th, we will have our final fundraiser for MOMSnext in the form of a Silent Auction. At the last meeting each table was given their basket assignment. Don't worry if you weren't at last week's meeting, there's still plenty of time. If there are any home businesses out there, we welcome all donations of any goods or services for the Silent Auction. Just let us know!
Compassion Project
Samantha shared with us last week about the joint effort between MOPS and Compassion to help children in third world countries. It was heartbreaking to see the depths of poverty some children live in on a daily basis. I was also surprised to learn what small amount of money it really takes from donations to make such a huge impact to a child's life. If you are interested in participating, there are many ways you can help.
Give a one time donation. You can help our fundraising efforts and give a one time donation. Go to the VCC MOMSNext fundraising website for more information.
Sponsor a child. The most transformational way you can support a child is by providing ongoing support in the form of a tax-deductible contribution of just $38 a month. This support will provide your sponsored child with medical checkups, nutritious food, health and hygiene training, educational assistance and most important a way to hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with God. When you sponsor a child, you'll receive your child's photo, personal story and a child sponsorship packet by mail in approximately 10 days. Go to Compassion's website to learn how you can sponsor a child.
Check out the video of Mandy Arioto, MOPS President and CEO, and other MOPS moms as they traveled to Honduras to meet the precious babies and moms this cause is helping. You can watch the video on the MOPS website here.

Mom's Night Out - Movie Night
Join us this Thursday, March 1st at 7pm for a showing of Kirk Cameron's new movie called CONNECT. It's about help for parenting kids in a social media world, so we thought it would be fun to get a group of us to watch it together for a Mom's Night Out.
There are limited show dates and times, but we wanted to get a group together to watch it at the showing on March 1st at the AMC Cupertino Square 16. (10123 N. Wolfe Road, Cupertino, CA 95014).
If you were interested and signed up at one of the meetings, you should have already received an Evite for the event. Please be sure to RSVP for the event, so we know how many people to expect. If you didn't receive the Evite and still want to go, please contact Lisa Allen and she can add you.

Mom's Night Out - Bunco Night
Mark your calendars for a night of Bunco for a Mom's Night Out on Tuesday, March 19th.
We will be playing Bunco at Lori McKinley's house. If you have never played Bunco, it is a lot of fun and easy to learn. And if you have played before, come join and help teach the rules. Please join us if you can for a night of fun games, conversation and great camaraderie.
