Hi everyone,
I'm getting back into the swing of things and back into my weekly updates. It's getting closer to our first meeting and I can't wait to see all of you catch up on our summer breaks. For those of you that were able to make it to the BBQ last Saturday, I heard it was a blast. I hope you enjoyed time with your families, meeting up with friends, eating good food, and sharing your excitement for MOMSnext with others.
Just a couple of announcements below...
First Meeting of the Year
Only three more weeks to go until we meet again for our first meeting of the new year on Friday, September 14th. We are getting ready for all the great things planned for this year. We can't wait to see you there! I look forward to seeing all of you again and welcoming new moms as well. To learn more details about the upcoming year, check out the Calendar link on our blog.
Wife Lab
We will be diving into a new series this year at our MOMSnext meetings called Wife Lab. Our guest speaker Julie Landreth, will be introducing the series at our first meeting. She developed this course to take women on a journey towards freedom in marriage. Julie fosters a safe environment for women to learn what it means to be a wife. Through rich conversation, prayer, journaling, and digging into what God says in the Bible, marriages are transformed. Check out some of her videos on her website to learn more about Julie and the Wife Lab series.
Find Your Fire
Next year’s theme has already been posted at MOPS.org. The theme this coming year is to Find Your Fire. Some women fear the fire, others tend their God-given fire and use it to light their hearts and the world. Let's be THOSE women. As a group, we will try to live expectantly, surrender daringly and breath freely. Let's discover together what that means to each of us.
