Hello moms!
I hope you enjoyed your summer with your families. I can't believe the school year has started already. I'm excited to see all of you soon. I know it's been awhile since our last post, so I have a lot of announcements to share with you.
Venture's Back to School Block Party
This Saturday night on Aug 25 at 5:30pm! Bring everyone to the 4pm service and join the party after. This is a great opportunity to invite folks to Venture who have always wanted to visit. Enjoy Korean BBQ, and fun entertainment for the entire family! Bounce houses, outdoor games and more. Meal tickets are $5 per person (4 and under free). You can get your tickets and/or sign up to serve.
Also, we would love to know if you're able to come, so we have a community of MOMSnext members at the event. Please be sure to let us know if you can make it by also signing up with this evite. This is a great opportunity to help promote our amazing group of women. So if you bought a MOMSnext shirt from last year, please be sure to wear it! You'll also see the MOMSnext leadership wearing their bright pink shirts too. By the way, I just noticed the photo the church is using to promote the BBQ. Cute kid! It's my son, Jordan, from last years BBQ!

First Meeting of the Year
Mark your calendars ladies for our first meeting of the year scheduled on September 14th. We getting ready for all the great things planned for this year. We can't wait to see you there! To learn more details about the upcoming year, check out the Calendar link on our blog.
We will be diving into a new series this year with our meetings, Wife Lab, with speaker Julie Landreth. Wife Lab is a course developed by Julie Landreth designed to take women on a journey towards freedom in marriage. Julie fosters a safe environment for women to learn what it means to be a wife. Through rich conversation, prayer, journaling and digging into what God says in the bible, marriages are transformed. Check out some of her videos on her website to learn more about Julie and the Wife Lab series.
Find Your Fire
Next year’s theme has already been posted at MOPS.org. The theme this coming year is to Find Your Fire. Some women fear the fire, others tend their God-given fire and use it to light their hearts and the world. Let's be THOSE women. As a group, we will try to live expectantly, surrender daringly and breath freely. Let's discover together what that means to each of us.
