Two weeks to go....

Hi everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. While I loved the three day weekend, I'm glad to be back to our regular schedules as well. It feels like it's going to be a mad dash from here until Christmas. If any of you missed my last post on Facebook last week, United, Silicon Valley - One Heart for Prayer is having an event this Friday, September 7th from 9am to 12pm. We had a group of women from our group participate in this last year, and the group coordinators were so grateful. We are hoping we can get another group of women to attend again this year. More details below...

United, Silicon Valley - One Heart for Prayer
Calling all Moms and Grandmothers! Do you want to stand united with a sisterhood of prayer warriors impacting the next generation for Christ? With Jesus, your child can live victoriously in any circumstance! Seize God’s promises and battle powerfully in prayer.

Next Friday, September 7th from 9:00 am to 12:00pm, join the United - Silicon Valley, One Heart for Prayer event, where you will be united for a morning with a sisterhood of prayer warriors committed to pray for the next generation. With one heart we will lift up our voices in prayer to Jesus for our children & grandchildren.

The event will be held at Presbyterian Church LG, 16575 Shannon Road, Los Gatos. Be encouraged by Sally Burke, Moms In Prayer International President and Susan Shepherd,
USA National Director (via video conference), as well as other guest speakers!

The event is FREE, childcare is not provided. Coffee and refreshments are provided.

First Meeting of the Year
Only two more weeks to go until we meet again for our first meeting of the new year on Friday, September 14th. We are getting ready for all the great things planned for this year. We can't wait to see you there! I look forward to seeing all of you again and welcoming new moms as well. To learn more details about the upcoming year, check out the Calendar link on our blog.

Wife Lab
We will be diving into a new series this year at our MOMSnext meetings called Wife Lab. Our guest speaker Julie Landreth, will be introducing the series at our first meeting. She developed this course to take women on a journey towards freedom in marriage. Julie fosters a safe environment for women to learn what it means to be a wife. Through rich conversation, prayer, journaling, and digging into what God says in the Bible, marriages are transformed. Check out some of her videos on her website to learn more about Julie and the Wife Lab series.

Find Your Fire
Next year’s theme has already been posted at MOPS.org. The theme this coming year is to Find Your Fire. Some women fear the fire, others tend their God-given fire and use it to light their hearts and the world. Let's be THOSE women. As a group, we will try to live expectantly, surrender daringly and breath freely. Let's discover together what that means to each of us.

Register for MOMSnext
If you haven't done so already, please make sure to register before our first meeting for the upcoming 2018-2019 year. You can pay the local chapter fees at our first meeting in the fall of 2018. Childcare is also available for a fee, but space is limited. Please follow this link to register for childcare. If you have any questions about childcare or registration, please email us at register4momsnext@vccmops.org.

Also if you have friends that want to check out our first meeting but are not sure about registering just yet, please send them this evite link (http://evite.me/QekyWxzxSD) just so we know they are coming.

Find us on Facebook
We are on Facebook, you ask? YES! It's another form of communication for our members to message each other and get information out quickly. It is a closed group only for our MOMSnext members at Venture, so it is a safe environment. If you are not on our VCC MOMSnext group, find us on Facebook and send us a request and we will add you! Let's continue to support each other in between meetings in any way we can.
