Silent Auction coming up!
One of our biggest fundraisers of the year will be coming up in March. At last week's meeting each table was given their basket assignment. Please follow up with your Table Leaders and/or Mentor Moms to find out what you can bring. We will be collecting items for the basket at our 1/25 and 2/8 meetings. Funds from the Silent Auction help offset the costs of our meetings, dues, MNO events, and more. Please help support this event if you can.

Save the Date - February Mom's Night Out
Mark your calendars for next month's Mom's Night Out on Thursday, February 28th! Dawn Akeroyd, our MOMSnext Outreach Coordinator, will be hosting a night of Bunco at her house. This is one of my favorite events. If you've never played Bunco, then this is your chance to learn. It's super easy and a lot of fun. And if you have played before, then you know you don't want to miss out. Keep your eyes open for an evite coming soon. Hope to see you there!
This Week's Devotional
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”
Psalm 23 KJV
This was my favorite verse as a child. We had to memorize it in school and I always thought it sounded like a song. I would say it over and over again and always found comfort in the words. It isn't until now as an adult where I can read this and understand the power behind it. It is through these words I find encouragement, comfort, love, and peace.
We as moms are the shepards of our children. We care for them with tenderness and love. We try to herd them away from danger and lead them down a path of goodness and righteousness. But it doesn't all lay on our shoulders. God is there right by our side. He is our Shepard tending to us daily. All we need to do is to call on Him and He is there for us. He is there to help us and guide us with our lives and the lives of our children. You are not alone and you are never expected to do it all by yourself. When in doubt, call on the Lord to help you when in need or love on you as you deserve. We are all his precious children and He is waiting with open arms for us to come to Him, whether it be to share and praise him for the good times or lean on Him in bad times. No matter where you are at in life, He wants to be there to share it with you.

LORD, you are a good, good father. Thank you for always being there to Shepard me in my life. Help me to come to you in all my times of need and praise you for your goodness in times of joy. May we forever be reminded of your love for us in everything we do. AMEN.
